Residence Inn by Marriott Novato Sonoma

Outstanding new hotel, with modern bathrooms and kitchenettes. Would love for the property to also have a hot tub; the pool was a nice refresher after the heat of the day. 10/10 recommend!

Brand new so of course it’s clean and tidy. Staff was not helpful- a woman was trapped in the elevator for over an hour before they would call 911- they wanted to wait for the tech. Hot breakfast was nice but they weren’t prepared for the volume of people at all! Convenient location - can walk to downtown Novato!

Honestly there should be at least one cream option. As a business professional who wakes up extremely early and needs to get out and go, I would have loved at least a regular creamer as I am a french vanilla fan myself but regular would have been really nice too- there is only half and half, I asked staff in the dining area and they said that is all they carry. There was 2 regular creamers in my room but the napkin pack was open so no splenda/sugar substitute and again, I am very busy and didn't have it in me to go down and grab sugar substitute. also, maybe an extra roll of toilet paper in your rooms - I used sparingly. Lastly, this is the only hotel I've been to that did not provide a coffee cup sleeve - the coffee is hot and every morning it almost burned my hand. that would be very helpful. Your front desk gentlemen is very friendly, upper management stands there but doesn't really respond or make eye contact - maybe they can stand in the back as it is unwelcoming to say the least. all-in-all good experience.
