The house is situated just 30 mins walking from the centre of Carcassonne in a very quiet neighbourhood. The room is wonderfully decorated in all its details. Would repeat again our staying.

It's a Taylor Swift's pink dream! Four-poster bed, velvet bows, rosy cushions and a huge Hollywood mirror in the big pinky bathroom.. also, you can see the lights of old Carcassonne from the balcony. The room is clean, the breakfast is nice, and the owners are very responsive!

It's not that far from the city center on foot but the property is uphill

We made a mistake by booking only one night here. We couldn’t get there until early evening, and we had to be out by 11 am. In fact, we left earlier due to our crazy, self-inflicted schedule. The Property is on the outskirts of town and easy to find on sat nav. (Might be tricky without. The beautiful property is shared with the owners, so you'll need time to understand the rules re gate/keys/food/doors/linen/locks, etc. It’s all very secure, with parking behind the locked gates. Our room was excellent, with the most comfortable bed, a choice of pillows and an elegant, newly fitted bathroom, generously supplied with products. In the morning, we stripped our bed as directed but only had time for a quick coffee; we hadn't brought anything for breakfast. Our hosts were incredibly friendly, and we were sorry we hadn't planned to stay longer. We would certainly return. Shop for essential food before arriving; there is a big fridge available, but bring your own bits and bobs.

The food preparation area was good, but not very relaxing. Also, for our single overnight stay, it would have been better to stay in a hotel.

This is a lovely house with on-site owners. We had the pink room: very large bedroom and bathroom, very comfortable bed and good shower (and bath if you want it), and spotlessly clean with loads of wardrobe space. There's a decent sized swimming pool and loungers/seats around it. The location is a brisk 20 minute walk to the station, but down a hill so a bit longer and more strenuous coming back. It's also near two bus routes (lignes 2 and 8). An Uber back from town was about 12 Euros. It's a nice, quiet spot with no road noise at night. The town itself is great, with some wonderful eating places, although we would have enjoyed more of them if we'd booked ahead, so we encourage you to do that.

There's no lighting around the pool so staying out to read after dusk isn't possible. There are some slightly fussy house rules, such as what you can't take into your room, and you have to ask ahead for crockery and cutlery to be left out, instead of always being left out for use. There's a dedicated space in the fridge for your own food, and it's kept stocked with cold water and juices. It is not a hotel; it's a B&B if you're willing to pay 10 Euros for a basic breakfast, or an AirBnB if you just want the room, and it's priced very well as such.
