Built in 1732 at the foot of the Dominican Church (1288) and the Dominican Sisters’ Convent (1315), the “Gîtes du Dominicain” will delight you with their rustic and authentic interior. Located on the 3rd floor (no elevator) of our family-run restaurant, established in 1976, Le Petit Dominicain, you can also enjoy our outdoor space in our summer lounge located in our garden.
Tastefully furnished with a modern touch and designed for your comfort, the Gîtes du Dominicain are the perfect place for a vacation that immerses you fully in Northern Alsace.
The Gîte du Couvent:
On the third floor, you’ll first find the Gîte du Couvent. It offers a cozy, traditional Alsatian atmosphere.
With a total area of 45 m², this loft is ideal for up to 4 people.
Its cob ceiling, covered with a lime plaster for added comfort, and its 17th-century Alsatian timber frame are sure to impress you. The 300-year-old floor is made entirely of old railroad car floorboards, which we have restored and preserved as best as possible to faithfully preserve the treasures of our architectural heritage.
The bathroom, located in a separate, enclosed room, has been completely renovated using high-quality, modern materials: Calcecruda, terrazzo, and brushed gold. Warm tones create a natural atmosphere perfect for relaxation. Slippers and bathrobes will be provided.

Boudoir living room: A comfortable sofa that converts into a bed (160x200, 15 cm thick mattress), coffee table, bookshelf, and board games.
Relaxation lounge: Leather sofa that converts into a bench, coffee table, Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV with an Amazon Fire Stick allowing you to access all kinds of entertainment and digital terrestrial TV channels.
A bedroom opening onto the living room with a 160x200 bed, high-quality bedding, and a mattress topper.
Baby equipment available upon request: crib, high chair, and toys.
Washer and dryer in the shared area on your landing. Iron and ironing board, Tancarvil. Provided for your use: Laundry detergent, fabric softener, and stain remover.
Household cleaning supplies and utensils provided: sponge, dish soap, vacuum cleaner, dustpan and brush.
