Maison Tropical

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maison Tropical. The owners, Polina and Joao, gave us a warm welcome when we arrived. Throughout our stay Polina provided us with a wealth of useful information (including books about Mauritius, car rental information and a reliable contact if we wished to use a taxi) as well as several recommendations of places to visit that really helped us get the most out of our time in Mauritius. Amongst other places, we visited Casela Park and Chamarel. Maison Tropical is slightly set back from the road. It is situated away from the busy areas where the bars, restaurants etc. are located, yet the beach, bars, restaurants, supermarket and other amenities can be reached by foot. You can park on the road outside Maison Tropical - gaining entry to the property via wrought iron gates that have a press button code. (The name 'Maison Tropical' is in lettering across the top of the gates). We were pleased to find that the accommodation was exactly the same as shown in the photos. At Maison Tropical there are 3 suites. Each suite is very spacious, spotlessly clean, artisically decorated and very comfortable. The covered outside cooking area - which is accessed by a door that leads out from the main kitchen - is equipped for those who wish to self cater. There is a downstairs toilet and wash basin plus a washing machine and drying rack. The bedroom offers plenty of hangers and shelves, a very comfortable bed and other amenities such as a safe. The lovely private balcony (ours overlooked the swimming pool) has comfy chairs and a coffee table. The daily housekeeper, Shalini was excellent. She changed the towels and bedding and cleaned whenever we needed her to (which was not every day). The gardeners kept the swimming pool area and garden very clean and tidy. We enjoyed watching the resident tortoises wandering around and sunning themselves in the garden.

We loved everything but did not have enough space to complete our review above...so here is the end of it ! We rented a car for 5 days and very much enjoyed seeing some of the beautiful places around the island. The car hire was very good value and the bonuses were that the roads are in a very good condition and in Mauritius they drive on the left, the same as in the UK. The weather was around 26 degrees C every day. There were a few days with clouds and there were a couple of heavy showers during our stay. It was still warm in the evenings when we walked to the restaurants - therefore we did not need to wear jackets, jumpers etc. At the end of our stay Polina printed off our flight Boarding Passes which was very helpful. We were truly sorry to leave.

De rust die er gecreëerd word, zowel buiten als binnen brengt je direct in vakantiestemming. Er zijn zoveel kleine mooie details dat er na 14 dagen nog steeds ontdekt worden. Het appartement word dagelijks zuiver gemaakt en de handdoeken worden ook dagelijks gewisseld. Locatie is ook perfect en rustig, met de fiets ben je in 5 min aan het strand of aan de restaurantjes. Eigenaars zijn ook zeer behulpzaam zonder dat ze zich opdringen.

Er is niets wat ik zou veranderen.

Великолепное место ! Красивый дворик, утопающий в зелени, бассейн, сама вилла просто роскошная, есть всё необходимое для комфортного проживания! В номере продумано всё для мелочей. Интерьер, который хочется рассматривать. Отличное расположение, 10 минут пешком до пляжа. Очень классные хозяева виллы, помогают и подсказывают. Однозначно рекомендуем и сами обязательно вернемся !

Die Unterkunft liegt in einem wunderschönen tropischen Garten mit Schildkröten, man schaut immer nach ihnen und sie kommen einem besuchen. Die Räumlichkeiten sind traumhaft schön eingerichtet und gemütlich. Man tritt ein und fühlt sich sofort total wohl. Es stimmt einfach alles bis ins kleinste Detail.

Das wäre nörgeln auf höchstem Niveau und das mache ich nicht.
