My wife and i thoroughly enjoyed this little cottage at Venture Out recently. Bed was very comfortable and having the ability to wash / dry clothes and swimwear was an added bonus. Cottage was very clean and spacious for our needs. Just a few small things I will mention however. When we arrived, the temperature inside was nearly 85 degrees and the AC was not on, so cooling the place down took some time with two window units, but they did a pretty good job of keeping the inside comfortable once the desired temperature was reached. Second, the tub / shower is about 3/4 the size of a standard one, so a larger person may find it more of a challenge to shower comfortably as i kept knocking my wife's shampoo bottles and facial cleanser off the shelf... Lastly, the property owner may want to have a 'soft' spot in the floor looked at that's right in front of the bathroom sink. It is highly noticeable if you step on it and I am unsure if it's related to water damage or possibly something else. Other than that, no complaints. Would definitely stay here again !

Loved the property. Quiet and pleasant. Nice folks all around. Lovely waterfront, pool and hot tub. Quaint vintage cottage was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Easy access to main route. Close to Key West. Perfect little grocery store on site. Loved the place!

Nice spot

The description was somewhat misleading. The second "bedroom" was really a murphy bed in one end of the living room with sliding panels to give some privacy. There were several repairs needed. The living room ceiling fan could not be turned off because the pull-chain was broken. One light in the kitchen also had a broken switch and couldn't be turned on. The freezer wasn't cold enough to keep a single carton of ice cream frozen. The ice-maker was inoperative. The faucets in the bath could be turned around and around and you had to guess where "off" was. There were two hinges rusted solid behind one of the benches in the patio. There were several sharp, rusty screws sticking up right where you might lay your head back, or put your arm if you rested it on the back of it.
