Kabakwe Guest Lodge

We had a very nice stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. They held our luggage while we were in Chobe for 3 days between our 2 stays at Kabakwe. They helped us with taxis and other questions. The room was spacious, clean and nice. The grounds were relaxing and it was nice to have a courtyard to hang out in or eat on the patio. The location was convenient, only 5 minutes from everything by taxi. The neighborhood was quiet. Breakfast (included) was made to order and very good. Lunch and dinner (by request) were also very good. They provided us with ice and filtered water throughout the stay. Lodging in Victoria Falls is relatively expensive and Kabakwe was a very good value. If we returned to Victoria Falls, we'd stay at Kabakwe again.

Breakfast was included in the room rate. It was a la carte and was very good each morning. The lodge is in a quiet area of Victoria Falls although there was some construction going on a few doors up at the time, it didn't cause us any disruption. The area appears to be undergoing quiet a bit of new development.

We couldn't swim in the pool because it wasn't clean with clear water on the hottest day we were there. The lodge is not located within walking distance of anything so we needed to rely on the taxi service with is US$5 each way to any location within the town area. This was not a major inconvenience though.

Great location and satff

We hired the big house at the back ( we were a group of six ) , it was very big & comfortable. On our first night we even saw Elephants from the back deck . Really good breakfast, dinner not so good . A bit remote location but close enough to the Chobe National Park .
