Together with the districts of Kosel, See, Ödernitz, and Stannewisch, Niesky has a population of approximately 10,000. The town’s development is closely linked to the Moravian Church. The town center is centered around Zinzendorfplatz, built in a simple rural Baroque style. It was voted one of the ten most beautiful squares in Germany in a nationwide competition.
The town museum and tourist information office are located in Niesky’s oldest house, a Bohemian half-timbered house. This is also the starting point for the discovery trail along the Niesky Wooden House Trail. Nearly 100 prefabricated wooden houses stand within the city limits of Niesky. The most famous is the Konrad Wachsmann House. It impresses with its functional, Bauhaus-inspired design. As a museum, it now invites visitors to explore the exhibition “Modernist Wooden Buildings.”
Nature lovers will be delighted by the expansive mixed forests around Niesky and the unique “Upper Lusatian Heath and Pond Landscape” biosphere reserve, with its well-developed cycling and hiking trails. Right on the outskirts of town lies the Quitzdorf Reservoir, a destination for anglers and birdwatchers. For swimming, there are numerous lakes as well as a spacious water park. The adjacent sports complex offers opportunities for sports and recreation. In winter, the indoor ice rink invites visitors to enjoy ice sports.

This spacious apartment is located in a neighborhood about 5 km from Niesky. A staircase leads up to the first-floor apartment. The attic apartment features a living room with a pull-out sofa, TV, and radio. The bedroom has a double bed and a TV, and the walk-in closet offers ample storage space. The separate kitchen is fully equipped with a small dining area, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster, a coffee maker, a stovetop, an oven, a dishwasher, and a complete set of dishes.
The naturally lit bathroom features a shower, sink, and toilet.
Bedding, towels, parking, and final cleaning are included in the price.



On-site fees: Payment is due in cash upon arrival. Check-in is available from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Check-out is by 10:00 AM. Keys are handed over in person on-site. Pets are not allowed. A crib can be provided upon request. A third and fourth person can be accommodated on the sofa bed upon request (20.00 per person/night). A security deposit of 100.00 euros is required on-site.Parking, final cleaning, towels, and bed linens are included.
