Lokka Hotel Ortakoy

I loved the room and it's layout. It was comfortable and the air conditioners were placed in the living room/ bedroom. I really appreciate the person at the front desk named Murat

I didn't like that the main bedroom didn't have an air conditioner. This made us stay in the bedroom with the 2 double beds (we're married lol) I'm sure this wouldn't be an issue in the winter

El hotel está en una zona que nos gustó mucho, con ambiente y opciones para comer y pasear cerca. Solo estuvimos una noche, así que no podemos valorar una estancia larga, pero para nuestro caso cumplió perfectamente con lo que buscábamos. Sobre todo nos quedamos con la buena atención y el trato recibido. Además, nos organizaron el transfer desde el aeropuerto y todo fue muy fácil y cómodo, algo que se agradece mucho cuando llegas a Estambul por primera vez.

La zona es muy concurrida y puede haber algo de ruido, aunque para nosotros también forma parte del encanto de Estambul.

I almost didn’t want to write a review to keep this wonderful place available for myself. 😈 It’s in the middle of Ortakoy with a gorgeous view of the Bosphorus (I have reserved the room with the view, it’s a small boutique hotel, I’m not sure how many rooms with the gorgeous sea view). Since there are other lower buildings in front, my room was on fourth floor. In the historical building, the stairs were easier to manage up until the third level. Then, they became really steep. Luckily, a wonderful member of the staff helped me carry my small suitcase. On the way down, it was the young housekeeper lady who grabbed my luggage before even I asked. There are nice chairs and a small table on each floor by the window for a chance to rest. There are nice restaurants within two minutes of walking for every budget (from Michelin starred Banyan to very affordable Kofteci Yusuf). House Coffee and Mado are good breakfast places. Two other hotels nearby may have newer facilities, but at double or triple prices. There’s also an Irish Pub at the entrance of the hotel. I loved it, the location, view and personnel. One possible negative factor was the noise from music at the street until 3:00 am. It did not bother me, but just to keep the place available ;)
