The address on Booking.com is incorrect. The actual address is for a hotel with the same name, but the real hotel is far from the city center and there's nothing nearby. This is the closest address. Nearby Address: Kaya bahçe, Hasırlı, Bardakçı 2. Sk. No:6, 21200 Sur/Diyarbakır, Türkiye

Mehmet, the owner, is super friendly and always ready to help. This place was perfect for our stay in Diyarbakir! We got an amazing upgrade; the new accommodation had everything we needed. The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful, close to all the main attractions, shops, and restaurants. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting. It was the best stay of our 3-week trip in Turkey.

The room was soooo clean and very comfortable. For the price we paid, I totally expected a dive. And when we first found the office, it looked like that's what we were had found. BUT... to our surprise. They taxi'd us to a different location than the office, bringing us to a lovely room near the wall with easy access to the home's rooftop (even though the door view faced a beautiful view already. The location was a 10 minute walk from the office if using the alleys and GPS. Taxis were easy to access. Needing to stay in Diyarbakir was unexpected, and the staff was accommodating with bringing things we needed like a knife for our market meat and phone charger. I highly advise opening the front door to lay in bed and see the sunrise. The bed was comfortable and new with fresh bright white blankets. My husband complained it was too soft. But in my own opinion, that was a bonus. There was a "normal" toilet (American here lol) and my appreciation for that is real! Oh lastly, there IS a market within a 5 minute walk along with some newer restaurants. There are horses in the field on the way.. really a fantastic atmosphere.

The location of the hotel was a little out of old town, in a new build area. It was an easy walk though the new shopping mall to the old down bizarre area. The staff were friendly and helpful, once we got through the initial confusion. It was convenient location to the bus station.

The address of the hotel on the booking was not the same location as the actual hotel rooms. We arrived at the Star hotel as listed on the booking, only to be told to wait while a car was being arranged to take us to the Star Mansion location where our actual rooms were located. It was confusing. The photos of the Star Mansion on booking.com are accurate. The ceiling light in one of rooms booked was broken - we were told there was an electrical problem. The other room booked had hair and a bandaid in the shower drain.
