Abdullah has been such a wonderful host to share the island. He has such great care for each guest and if you need anything he will make sure you have a great stay, taking you anywhere you need. I was worried at first about the island feeling remote, but they will make sure you have everything including great WiFi, delicious breakfast, and private dinner brought to you upon request! The most quiet and relaxed vibes you’ll find in between the hustle and bustle of the rest of Egypt travel. Also feels very safe for female solo traveler

We absolutely loved everything about our stay. The location is incredible — literally right on the water, with your feet almost in the Nile. You feel completely away from everything, in a little haven of peace, while at the same time everything is incredibly easy to organise. The guest house itself is small, charming and full of Nubian character, with a lovely little terrace overlooking the water. Swimming, watching the sunset, sitting by the Nile… it really is a very special place. But what made our stay truly exceptional was Abdullah. He is extraordinarily kind, caring and helpful, and made absolutely everything easy for us. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely looked after like special guest or all the time. All our transfers were completely seamless. Between Aswan, Elephantine Island and the guest house, Abdullah and his brother Mustafa organised everything for us. Even an airport arrival around midnight or leaving for Abu Simbel at 3:30 am was not a problem. There was always someone there to help, whatever the time. Breakfast was delicious, generous and local, and there is also a very good little restaurant nearby. A beautiful, peaceful place with an exceptional host. We would come back without hesitation.
