Blue House 9 Rooms & Breakfast

Lovely bed and breakfast in beautiful building. The beds were really comfortable, shower powerful and breakfast excellent. The hosts are really friendly, accommodating, and gave lots of helpful tips. They also kindly allowed us a late check out which was much appreciated. Birgu itself is wonderful, charming picturesque streets, stunning harbour views and good restaurants.

Paid extra for a balcony. Unfortunately it was about 2 metres away from balcony opposite on a narrow street....therefore pretty much no direct sunlight and a bit of a waste of time.See photo. The room had minimal natural light. The stay was very disappointing on the whole given the price (almost twice what I paid for other rooms on a tour of Malta Gozo.) All in all it was a pretty soulless stay in that I saw no other guests in 3 days and only one member of staff. Said member of staff was responsible for breakfast, sometimes he was there, sometimes not. I waited 15 minutes for him to appear on day 2 as I wanted to ask for scrambled eggs; I looked in the kitchen, rang the reception bell, no sign of life. On day 3 no one was there either. When he was there he looked like he wished he wasn't. As I say, given the price tag I expected much better of the place.
