I was wondering why Essouaira was so expensive a year later, did it become discovered and gentrified? No , it turns out is was Gnaoua Festival, which was fantastic, but made last minute booking impossible in centre bill and of course higher than usual prices. This apartment suited my needs and wasn’t too far from town that I couldn’t take reasonable taxi. Definitely walkable for younger, more fit travelers. The rooftop view was nice , too.
The toilet and shower were in the same room, not a problem, just different and had to watch out for slippery floor.
