The Space

Le Cordonnier is a luxurious villa with absolutely breathtaking views located in the Var region of Provence. Here, you’ve found the ideal place for your family or friends to gather together and enjoy life in France!

Step inside the villa to find high ceilings with exposed beams, white walls, and huge windows that open onto a gorgeous balcony. Walk down the wide hallway into the large, family-sized kitchen, equipped with modern Siemens appliances and everything you’ll need to prepare fresh Provençal cuisine. The kitchen opens onto a covered terrace, perfect for shaded lunches and dinners.

Behind the terrace is the cozy living nook/library, which features a TV and DVD player as well as a plentiful collection of books. Behind the living nook is a half-bath and a laundry room complete with a washing machine and dryer. Adjoining the snug are two double bedrooms, each with a super king-size bed, a shared bathroom with a shower, and a separate toilet. One of the rooms has a balcony that connects to the front terrace.

On the first floor is the luxurious master bedroom, which faces south and offers superb views. The room has an en-suite bathroom. Across the hallway is the third bedroom, which is a decent size but has low ceilings. This room is suitable for a couple or four children, as the super king-size bed can be separated into two singles, and there is a double sofa bed. The room also has an en-suite shower and toilet.

The villa is very baby- and family-friendly. There are two high chairs and a crib, plus plenty of toys, puzzles, and books to keep the children entertained. There is also an extensive DVD collection. In the basement, there is a ping-pong table, a dartboard, and yoga mats, in case anyone needs to escape the midday sun.

Outside, the villa features a balcony that runs along the front of the house. The 12m x 5m swimming pool is located on the south side of the house, running east to west. There is plenty of wooden decking around the pool. The owners have installed gates and fencing around the decking area for child safety. In a shaded area behind the house, there is a boules court so you can compete with the locals in the village later on! Next to the boules court is a gas grill. The garden is the owners’ passion and has been planted with locally sourced plants.

This villa is only a few minutes’ walk from the center of the village of Claviers. Here you’ll find several excellent restaurants, as well as a shop and a bar—perfect for sitting outside, watching village life, and enjoying an aperitif.

Local attractions include the gorgeous vineyards near Le Muy, the Gorges du Verdon and Lac de Sainte Croix, and the many beautiful hilltop villages that the area is known for. Further afield, you’ll find opportunities to go cycling, hiking, or play golf. If you love the beach, the coast and St. Tropez are a 1-hour, 15-minute drive away.
