We had problems with our flight and couldn’t get to Villa Vera for two days. We were charged as it was not their fault, but they met us very late and let us into our room.
The staff was beyond exceptional!

Receptionist was lovely, extremely helpful despite language barrier made us feel very welcome. The room was modern, pristine clean and comfortable.
Only tea available in room as coffee machine was in reception. Location was further out of Salerno than I expected but local bus service nearby.

The property is a little way out of Salerno, in Pastena. We never figured out how to buy tickets for the bus into town (not from the Tabacchi!) but fortunately there is a large car park near to the port in the centre of Salerno, which was convenient. The room was comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge. Parking facilities at the property are very good and there are some excellent restaurants and cafes within a few minutes walk. Salerno Cathedral is very impressive.
There is some traffic noise from the road outside. Some local information in English (e.g. on buses) and maps would have been appreciated. It is a 40-50 minute walk into Salerno.

The staff was absolutely fantastic and directed us to a great coffee shop. She also went over the top to take us back to train station on a Sunday when all was closed.
