We had an amazing time at Neill and Karen's amazing Gite. The Gite was finished to an brilliant standard, and everyone in our group was impressed with their attention to detail and the little touches of design/practicality.Neill and Karen were very attentive to any questions, and the check-in process was very informative. They were available for any questions we had, because they lived on site, however, they were very discrete and gave us the privacy we needed on holiday (the orientation of the two properties helped with this).The pool was fantastic. Very clean and well maintained. It was heated, however, somewhat on the chilly side, but this was well received on the hot days. One of the best aspects of the pool was it's safety for our children. The fence, gate and depth, meant we were never worried about the children being in the garden around the pool area, and this was priceless.The area was quiet and rural, but we managed to find a couple of towns to visit. There are plenty of shops within a 15-30 minute drive and three large cities to visit around a 60 minute drive. The local restaurant which is a 20 minute walk via the road, or 30 minute walk through the forest is ok for a couple of drinks but no more unfortunately. Be aware that lunch in this area of France is 12:00-14:00, then everywhere closes until like 19:00. This tripped us up a few times.We would highly recommend this property to anyone who asked, due to it's luxury standard, pool, and amazing hosts.
