The staff and owner were very helpful. They ensured that our stay met our needs. Denis the dog was a welcome surprise in the morning. Greeting us affectionately. We felt at home here. The breakfast was freshly made and very tasty. The location of the property is perfecly placed for a walk along the river or a short walk into town. I highly recommend this place.

This is a quirky, old English teashop with two rooms available for B&B. Staff could not have been more helpful, especially at breakfast where it seemed that, despite the à la carte menu, we could just order anything we wanted. Great tea and coffee in endless supply too. We stayed in the suite, which has a comfortable and spacious sitting room linked to the en-suite bedroom.
The TV is small, but you don’t come here to watch TV, with the river walks, swans, geese and ducks right outside!

Great location by the river and a short walk to the centre.
Ordered a sandwich and tea when arrived after a long drive and they offered to bring it up to the suite. Delicious homemade shortbread in the room. At breakfast, lovely to interact with the owners whilst enjoying items from the menu.

The property itself was intriguing with many period features with nice touches, but a lack of service marred the experience which is a shame.
A female member of staff was indifferent with little reason to return., for example little to no conversion or even an an acknowledgment of our presence which made us feel unwelcome, it would of been nice to be asked good morning, how did you find your room etc, nothing.
During breakfast she constantly rearranged items causing unnecessary noise to the point of distraction and annoyance.
That can’t be said of her husband who was a decent host as were his staff however due to her we would not return.
