Apartment was recently remodeled in excellent taste and with all the modern conveniences. Furnishings were very comfortable. Location was excellent. Hosts were beyond compare. They really care and try hard to provide a wonderful experience. And they do!!

We traveled north from the Pisa countryside to stay a few days in La Spezia to experience "city life' in contrast to quaint Tuscany. The unit was among the historic apartment buildings, and it was remodeled to perfection, a real taste of city living in Italy on a one way street with a delightful balcony and market next door. The center of the town had a romantic fountain area where residents gathered in the evenings. Great restaurants and shopping deals within walking distance. The harbor and marina were surrounded by mountains and the ocean view was inviting. The owners spoke English and were delightful and accommodating and lived in the building. Best of all was streaming American tv . We drove to Florence the day before to catch our early morning return flight, about a 2 hour drive. Highly recommended! Enjoy!

Such a gem! We just spent 4 wonderful nights at the apartment. It was such a relief to find, from the moment we walked in, an immaculate and modern apartment. The hosts met us at the door and gave us a tour of the apartment. They are just lovely. We spent time chatting with them and they were more than generous with their time and their suggestions. They even checked in with us mid-stay to make sure everything was fine. Other than being immaculate, the apartment had great bed linens and we slept very comfortably. They supplied many things to make our stay feel like home. The location is about a 5-6 minute walk from the train station. It is right next door to a grocery store. They have a washing machine too. The building is well-taken care of also. Within 2 minutes we were at the start of the pedestrian shopping area. Cafes, restaurants and shopping. Within a 7 minute walk is the open market to buy fruits, veggies, cheese and fish. Within a 10 minute walk, you arrive at the harbor where boats await to take you to Cinque Terre, Porto Venere, Lerici and other trips. I can’t say enough about this wonderful apartment and its lovely hosts, in a great location. We thank them for sharing this beautiful space with us. If we ever return to La Spezia, we will certainly rebook the apartment. Grab it before someone else gets it. So worth it.
