This house was a great place overall, but there were some drawbacks. The house was roomy, laid out well, had a well-stocked kitchen, had beautiful views, was a short walk to the beach, and was convenient to restaurants, attractions, and stores. The pool and hot tub were amazing and well-maintained. We had a great week, but I feel I must mention a few issues so others will be aware. Some of these may be due to the real estate company that is managing the home. The screened porch had multiple screens missing. We had a wasp problem everywhere outside—on the porches, around the pool and hot tub, in the carport…I reported the problem and a professional was called, but never made it while we were there. We bought wasp spray and destroyed multiple nests ourselves. The info said basic soaps were provided, but there were only hand soaps at 2 of the 8 sinks and no shower soap. The welcome bag included a TINY dish soap and hand sanitizer. There were no bath mats, and the blender was broken (Agent said he would bring a replacement if they had one in stock, but they must not have had one because he never did.) One of the dining room chairs was broken. Reported this, but my husband ended up fixing it after a couple of days. Also-two of the amenities listed are toilet paper and paper towels. There was no TP at the toilets and 2 rolls (house had 6 toilets) of thin TP in the welcome bag. The tiniest roll of thin paper towels was provided. Frustrating but had a good week.

Overall a great location that suited all our needs. The location, views, pool and hot tub were excellent and the beach is a 5 minute walk away. 4x4 beach access and sound access locations are less than a 10 minute drive. Neighborhood is quiet and the court out front provided a good location for the kids to play. We were able to squeeze 7 trucks/suvs/cars in driveway. Only minor thing is the mattresses/beds could use some upgrading along with a couple of the appliances, aside from that everything was great with this location and would highly recommend.

Check in process was easy. Was told check in was after 6p but ready by 3p. Kitchen well stocked. Some issues that were addressed quickly. Pool and hot tub were amazing!!

Pros:Very well stocked kitchenLots of space in the house to spread outPlenty of things to do- game room, pool, hot tub, yardRelatively convenient access to the beach (straight over the dunes on the other side of the road or a short walk down to the boardwalk area)Cons:The upper decks were not in great shape (several issues with deck boards, railings, screens on upper porch area, etc) and need some TLC. There were several decks we did not use due to us not feeling that they were safe. There are security cameras at all exterior doors. This is not a huge issue but it was not disclosed in the listing. There is a security system in the home that would go off at random times all day/night- even when we were just sitting in the houseBack door was hard to latch/lockThere was a very strong mothball smell on the lower levelNot all of the windows have curtains and/or blinds. It would be very helpful to have curtains on all the bedroom windows. Note:It was stated that someone would take the trash cans to the road on trash day but that did not happen. Had we known, we would not have had a problem taking them down but due to this, there was a lot of trash backing up from us and the previous guests. We weren’t notified of the mowing and spraying that was done at the property (not a big deal but would have been nice to have a heads up with our kids playing outside)
