the ideal retreat in a central location for excursions in every direction.

The apartment features three separate bedrooms. The centerpiece is the spacious
and custom-made family bed (240 x 200 cm) in the master bedroom —ideal for
parents who like to sleep close to their children even on vacation or simply want to enjoy more space
. The living space is complemented by a room with two
single beds (each 90 x 200 cm) and a children’s room with a lovingly designed
house-shaped bed (90 x 200 cm) for children up to 14 years old. Every family will find the right
layout for restful nights here.

From Hanerau-Hademarschen, it takes four minutes by car and 45
minutes on foot to reach the Kiel Canal. The region is ideal for active vacations:
bike tours, nature parks, cultural attractions such as NordArt or the Schleswig-Holstein
Music Festival (SHMF), as well as culinary discoveries with a regional focus
are all easily accessible by car in under an hour.
But you can also enjoy a latte
at a charming bakery, explore the cool climbing park with the kids, or stroll through the Wilhelmshain Forest Park—part of the estate
and very thoughtfully designed— where
numerous fishing ponds and many quotes by Theodor Storm await you (Who can find the
life-size statue of the poet?).

Surroundings
Hanerau-Hademarschen is centrally located in Schleswig-Holstein, about an hour’s drive
north of Hamburg. The region is equally suited for active and completely
relaxing vacations, depending on what you’re in the mood for. Watch the passing barges and luxury liners in comfort
from your vacation home,
or go for walks or bike rides along the well-developed
network of trails. The high bridge over the Kiel Canal in Grüntal and the observation tower at the Albersdorf Archaeological-Ecological Center in Dithmarschen—known throughout Germany—offer special views. Day trips to the North Sea or Baltic Sea, a side trip to Hamburg, Kiel, or Denmark—everything is easy and can be arranged on a whim.
