Welcome to our sweet retreat. Tucked away below our main residence, our hideaway gives you the chance stay within walking distance to charming downtown Fairfax.
Easily walk to great restaurants, bars, live music, shops and a terrific, natural grocery store.
If you want to rest, our beautiful, shared backyard garden is a private park-like setting.
Treat this as your home base for adventures, bike rides, hikes, and picnics around Marin, wine country, and San Francisco (45-minute drive).
THE SPACE
The unit is located beneath our primary residence with its own separate entrance.
The retreat has a sunken patio adjacent to the shared backyard space. You have access to both outside spaces.
We have a small dog who may be in the backyard space at times, but she should not be intruding on your space.
Point Reyes National Seashore, Muir Woods, Mount Tamalpais, Wine Country, Spirit Rock Meditation Center, and San Francisco are all within a 45-minute drive, so this is an ideal location for adventure and discovery.

Enter the guest suite from the gate to the right of the primary residence walking down a path to the back of the house.

Great location for hanging out in Fairfax. The place was very comfortable and cheerful with a wonderful garden. Comfortable bed and couch. The owners were easy to reach if needed. Highly recommend

The host greeted us on arrival and was very welcoming. He explained how the door locks worked, however it is very complicated and I am not sure that we ever were entirely successful in locking the entry door in the evening for the night. The unit's living area -- living - dining - kitchenette - is very spacious and comfortable and the bathroom is also very spacious. The bedroom, however, is very small with no bureau and not really large enough to have space for luggage which must be set up in the living room.Also there is no space for a car. Rather one must find a spot somewhere on the street in the neighborhood. Fortunately, we were always able to do that. On balance, we were quite comfortable during our several days stay and very much enjoyed our time in Fairfax at this VRBO.

My husband and I attended a wedding at Deer Park Villa literally 5 minute drive from where we were staying, perfect location and the cutest apartment. The apartment felt like we were in a hotel but without the hotel vibe. It was so welcoming and all of the little details around the house made our trip great! Michael is attentive too, we appreciate you!
