This was perfect for my family of 6. They had a beautiful view & we had 4 interactions with bears! The only downside was we have 2 year old twins and they didn’t have a lock on the inside of the main door. It was locked on the outside so nobody could enter but ANYONE from the inside can open the door to do outside. They told us to prop a chair in front of the door so children couldn’t get out so that’s what we had to do.

It was a nice place to stay. Close to shops and restaurants. Hilly which is to be expected in the mountains. The only negative is all the steps to get to the condo.

This was a great, quiet location in the hills above Gatlinburg! Communication and check-in with the owner was easy, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, good parking and great WiFi. The Jacuzzi was fantastic, and the linens were good, too.Note there are no elevators and quite a few steps to get to this unit on the second floor. This was fine for us but may be difficult for some.As a retired apartment manager, I was disappointed in the strong smell of cigarette smoke when first entering the unit. It’s not coming from the open balcony door as mentioned in response to a previous review, and instead suspect it’s coming from the vent in the laundry/hot water tank area. That will be difficult or impractical to fix.The recliner was broken, and the owner said a new one has been ordered to replace it soon.The kitchen faucet and both bathroom sink faucets drip and cannot be fully shut off. All 3 faucet washers need to be replaced—a simple and inexpensive fix for a property manager or homeowner. If these items were addressed, we’d stay here again. We enjoyed our stay, and we’re hopeful and confident the owner will address the issues mentioned for future guests.

The walls and ceiling are paper thin. The entire week we could hear everything the people above us were saying and doing. It was understandable on New Years Eve. The water leaked out of almost all the faucets. It is very close to downtown but a steep incline. We walked one day and I almost didn’t make it back to the apartment lol.
