The hotel is a bit run down, but it is very clean and the private onsen was incredible. I definitely recommend staying here if you are in Atami!

Very authentic Japanese ryokan experience. We had a huge tatami room which we found to be comfortable, although our room had no private outdoor bath which would have made it extra special. The rooftop onsen has spectacular views. Breakfast in our room was fantastic. One point would be that access to the ryokan could be challenging for some as it's atop quite a steep hill. WiFi is patchy but then you are here to relax and unwind!
