The view for the private bath inside the room is wonderful.
A few insects was found inside the guest room, it is a little bit annoying. The dinner buffet is not recommended.

The front desk staff are exceptional! Actually all hotel staff were awesome! Room and private bath, amazing! The buffet, so much variety and delicious! Even the soft serve ice cream was super ono! I wish I could go there at least once a year to rejuvenate*
The walk to the room with private bath was a bit of a trek, but worth it. There's also interesting artwork throughout the hotel.

Welcome drink was great,
beautiful lobby and hotel,
kind staff.
No river view from the hotel as seen on the photos.
The onsen was disappointing, with many broken taps.
Location is a bit off the train station and bus is relatively rare to the main sightseeing locations. No shuttle bus.

The view from the room is amazing and the private onsen is very relaxing and comfortable!
The hotel neglected to tell us that the restaurant inside was closed until a day before we arrived. There are not many food options nearby and they don't allow you to bring food in, so we ate at a nearby 7-11. The staff is very nice, but they are not very responsive to messages sent via Booking. A few of the decking boards outside were broken, so you have to be careful entering and exiting the bath.
