Beautifully executed instructions and informative resources are discretely all around. In a world that often moves too quickly, you created a place where time softened. Where rest came easily. The location is extremely quiet and peaceful. Rest felt effortless. I did take advantage of the writers shed and was moved to journal bc the space was so inviting to introspection.I appreciated your responsiveness when I had a question and I enjoyed all your recommendations. I arrived hoping for a pleasant weekend away and departed carrying something much greater: a heart full of gratitude and memories that will linger long after the bags have been unpacked.Thank you Alison for transforming hospitality into an art form. From the moment we drove up to Under the Hemlocks and met Alison our host, we knew we had chosen the perfect retreat. The studio guest suite which is attached to the main house, but seems like a world away, is beautifully decorated and well thought out in terms of every detail. High quality bedding and towels, everything you need for morning coffee and a light breakfast, and a beautiful outside seating area which we wish we had more time to enjoy. The Writer's Retreat, a small, detached cottage nestled in the trees which is part of the rental, is the perfect place to enjoy privacy and a cup of coffee amidst the sound of birds and feeling one with nature. The property's location is ideal. Five minute drive to the heart of Amherst and a retreat you truly can't wait to return to! Alison's communication from the start of booking until our departureis unmatched.
