This house was the best I have ever rented down in Sarasota or Ana Maria Island. The house was beautiful and very spacious as well as updated.The location itself could not have been better. When the listing says it is on the beach, it is truly on the beach. One step over the small wall and you are on the sand.The people in the area were super friendly and we actually made new friends just from our location.We couldn’t have had a better week on the beach.

Cottage by the Sea was a WONDERFUL place to share with family on the beach. The ONLY reason it didn’t get all 5’s is bc the front door needed some work to get the keypad to work, but the biggest issue (which they cannot control, but also didn’t disclose), was the big major construction directly across the small street from us where they were constructing a large new home. We will definitely want to go back to Cottage by the Sea once they finish the construction. Can’t wait! Thanks for a great visit to AMI

The beach house we rented was directly on the beach and had beautiful views of the surrounding beach and ocean. The home was very well appointed and had all the amenities you would need to enjoy a week of relaxation. However, there was construction going on at the house next door for the entire week we were there. We were woken up by 6:30 a.m. by construction noise as well as the multiple vehicles parked along the street. There were also several times our driveway was blocked at one time. I had to have them move their equipment out of the way so we could get out to go to dinner. There were also multiple times that the sidewalk into the front door was also blocked, which made it difficult to access the beach with a wagon full of Beach equipment. I spoke with one of the construction workers and they told me the work will be going on for the next 4 months. I would recommend caution when renting this home during that time due to the issues that I've pointed out. Other than that the home was a great stay and would recommend it anytime other than construction time.

Wonderful place !! Views are amazing.. quiet and laid back. Rent gold carts to ride the island , food was really good at all the places we ate, great shipping too
