Petit Palace Alcalá

Location: we pretty much walked to all. Metro Sevilla 1 min walk and Sol station 5 min. Starbucks across the street. Large room (superior) - we stayed street side but hardly heard any noise. Breakfast options were great! Not the same things everyday. Worthwhile to choose this.

The bathroom is a "see-through" in the room..you could see the contours of someone. The sink is outside and no door We did not know upfront. However, when you don't mind that...fantastic hotel! For us no issue, but you have to walk one flight of stairs to enter reception/hotel. Lift to the rooms.

Excellent location just off Gran Vía. The room and bathroom were modern and spotless. Breakfast was very good, served buffet-style in a lovely bright room with floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides and views over Gran Vía.

The hotel and rooms are quite small and can feel a little claustrophobic, although this is partly due to the building itself. I was surprised that a four-star hotel did not have a full-length mirror in the room, which I consider quite basic, especially when getting dressed for work. Coffee was provided both in the room and in a common area, but I couldn’t find any decaf option, and there was no milk or creamer, only sugar. My room also had a balcony, but accessing it involved a very large step down, which did not feel particularly safe.

We loved the hotel’s location, the warm and welcoming service, and our beautiful and comfortable room. Isabella was especially helpful, giving us excellent local recommendations that made our stay even more enjoyable. The spacious shower was a great surprise, and the breakfast was outstanding, both for the quality and variety of the food and the beautiful setting. Overall, we felt very well taken care of throughout our stay.

The only issue was the lack of hot water for several hours, unfortunately on the morning of our departure. We understand that technical problems can happen, but given the inconvenience, we would have appreciated some gesture of compensation from the hotel.

Property felt tired and needed some TLC. Small things weren’t quite right. Staff really good but a high price for its location.
