Riverbend Retreat is a wonderful home away from home in a picturesque, very quiet setting, only 50 yards from the river. The rooms are well-suited for 3 couples or a multigenerational family trip, and everyone would be comfortable for a long weekend or a weeklong (or longer) vacation. The walkout basement game room is an awesome bonus, providing a secondary living space for families to spread out or enjoy some quiet time away from the main group. The kitchen is well appointed and has all the necessities for preparing meals for the family. All in all, an excellent choice for a North Georgia getaway.

The home was lovely and we had a great time decompressing and reconnecting with the kids. We had 3 adults and 3 kids and everyone had space. I’d recommend bringing your own beach towels and spices, but it had everything else we needed. We had a fantastic time floating the river, we dropped in by the Riverside Pool and it took 3 hours to get back to the house…it was a great time!

the hot tube was great. it was awesome being able to float down the river and back to your cabin.

10/10 highly recommend! Tim and Joanne were fantastic hosts! Very communicative and responsive. The cabin was perfect for our friend group! We had kids age 3 to 15 and they all had their own spots and activities meanwhile the adults enjoyed their time as well! We used their river equipment and tubed down the river which is very close by! We never ran out of things to do! So much wild life, we all had fun feeding the deer each evening/morning! My only feedback would be more towels for showering as we had to run a couple of loads and sheets for the pull out couch/bed…which was brand new by the way! You can definitely tell this place is well taken care of as it seemed brand new! We are already planning a return trip for the fall!
