Step into the timeless charm of Brumis Cottage, a beloved seaside retreat that has stood the test of time. Nestled directly across the street from Long Sands Beach, this 1800s home welcomes guests with breathtaking ocean views from every room and an inviting sense of nostalgia that makes you feel at home the moment you arrive.
Designed to accommodate up to 10 guests, the cottage features one queen bedroom, two full bedrooms, and four twin beds spread across the second floor and attic—where you'll also find a second TV, perfect for winding down after a day at the beach. All bedrooms are located on the second floor, along with the main full bathroom. A second full bathroom with a shower is located down a set of cellar stairs, offering additional convenience for larger groups.
The main floor blends historic charm with modern convenience. A touchscreen dishwasher, microwave, oven, and Keurig make meal prep a breeze, while WiFi and a television ensure entertainment and connectivity throughout your stay.
Outside, you'll find plenty of spaces to relax and take in the coastal air. The front wrap-around porch is a dreamy spot for morning coffee or evening conversations, featuring several rocking chairs and a charming wooden swinging bench for two. Around back, the spacious deck offers a barbecue grill and an old-fashioned lunch table, making it the perfect place for outdoor meals with family and friends.
On the parking level, the basement is stocked with activities for guests of all ages. A ping pong table and dartboard provide endless fun, and beach toys are available for families to use during their stay. A washer and dryer are also on-site for added convenience in the full bathroom.
Every corner of Brumis Cottage tells a story, from its beautifully preserved details to the thoughtful personal touches that make it truly special. Walking through the door brought Salt & Shine back to our own childhood summers—lazy beach days, salty breezes, and the comforting embrace of a place that feels like it’s always been waiting for you.
Whether you're here to relive cherished traditions or start new ones, Brumis Cottage isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to belong.
⚠️ Please note: All bedrooms and the main full bathroom are located on the second floor, and the second full bathroom is down a set of cellar stairs. If you have mobility issues, we recommend choosing a different property, as accessing these areas requires navigating stairs.

We really enjoyed staying at the Brumis cottage
Our family had multiple generations and being right across from the beach was very special. Hearing the waves at night and sitting on the porch was terrific. The children loved being able to come back and forth with their parents to the cottage. The cottage itself was very historical being built in 1895. We liked all the rooms especially the kitchen. The young teens enjoyed playing ping pong. A great family vacation
Thank you

What a great house! Location, history, well stocked kitchen, games and beach stuff. We had a great view of the full moon over the water during our stay. Plan on dining at Fox’s restaurant!! Great communication with the realtor/manager. The attic stairs are VERY steep so plan accordingly. The dining room has a huge table which was great for puzzles and dining. We just loved this cottage and its history. Books dating back to the 1800’s! Would definitely stay here again!!

I recently booked a stay through Salt & Shine Vacation Rentals, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the process was seamless, professional, and stress-free.
The property was exactly as described—clean, beautifully maintained, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The photos matched perfectly, and there were no surprises, which is something I truly appreciate when booking a vacation home.
Customer service was outstanding. The team was responsive, friendly, and genuinely cared about making our stay enjoyable. They provided clear check-in instructions, local recommendations, and were always available to answer any questions.
What really stood out was their attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction. It’s clear that they prioritize quality and comfort, and it made all the difference.
I would absolutely book with Salt & Shine Vacation Rentals again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and enjoyable vacation rental experience!
