The view is fantastic for a relaxing holiday. Staff is very friendly and try to converse with us even though their english is not fantastic, explaining to us about matcha ettiquite, providing food recommendation. Room is clean and large. They help us to get sushi delivery. Private onsen room is the reason for us to book this place and we enjoy it.

All is great. Long walk from station about 15- 20min but it is to be expected for this location.

Minoh and the experience at this ryokan was incredible. The local taxi I had tried to book couldn't bring us to the location since there was heavy foot traffic, so one of the staff members went out of their way to drive all the way down to the station to get us and bring us up to the location. It was right next to the hiking trail to Minoh Falls, so we completed the easy path in about an hour then came back for dinner and to explore our stay. The Sushi Kaiseki experience was incredible. The chef has been making sushi for over 40 years, prepared everything right in front of us for immediate enjoyment and had a good variety of dishes and local fish I had never eaten before. I literally had some of the best sushi I have ever tasted in my life - would fully recommend it and will be suggesting this place to my friends as well both for this meal and the stay itself. The traditional-style room was beautiful, a very cool experience I've always dreamed of and sleeping on the floor was surprisingly comfortable. The staff prepared the beds for us while we ate and even helped take the dessert from our dinner back to our room (we were so full from the main meal). The bathhouses were a nice, private relaxing experience and are available 24/7, which was convenient since we had gone straight to dinner after getting back to the stay from our hike. Breakfast the next day was equally amazing, prepared fresh and presented to us beautifully before we enjoyed it in peace while looking at the surrounding nature through the balcony view. We went with the traditional Japanese breakfast option which had a balanced amount of protein, rice and vegetables and was the perfect way to start our day before checking out. 10/10 Would stay here again

Entgegen der Beschreibung in Booking.com hat das Zimmer nur eine Toilette. Es gibt nur 2 Gemeinschaftsduschen für das ganze Haus. Da aber nicht viele Gäste anwesend waren, sind wir gut damit zurecht gekommen.

The staff made us feel like family. My wife twisted her ankle on our first day and they cared after her like she was one of their own. Phenomenal service and the chef was able to customize our breakfast to suit my wife's recent news of pregnancy.

Nothing
