RUM & REDFISH RETREAT! One Mile From The Beach. Unplug, reset, amid the gardens & trees. On the west end of Oak Island, perfect neighborhood to take your dog for a walk. A tranquil place to come back to after your day at the beach. The house is a 3BR, 2BA open concept home, has a well equipped huge kitchen & breakfast bar with 4 stools. In the sunroom, that adjoins the kitchen, is a dining table and access to the 'walled garden' . The living room & kitchen are one large room--great for quality family time! To the other side of the living room is the study, where there's games, puzzles & a desk in case you need your computer. The primary bedroom has a king size bed & att. full bath. Two other bedrooms share a 3/4 bath in the hallway.
Fire up the grill while the dog plays in the fenced area or enjoy the front porch with a book! There are bikes for your use, also enjoy beach chairs, cooler & cart for your adventures. Just minutes to local shops , restaurants, Farmer's Market & playground for kids at Middleton Park and grocery shopping. 20 min to Southport center and 40 min to Wilmington. WIFI, streaming TV capabilities. There is a washer/dryer for your use, but have linen service as part of the cleaning. You'll love it here!
*On January 10th, 2023 the Oak Island Town Council voted to approve paid parking on the island. The paid parking will be in effect from April 1 through September 30th and the hours are from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The cost will be $5 per hour, $20 per day and $80 per week. There will be a limited (1000) number of annual passes available for purchase for $175. Violations will be issued if these new rules are not followed.*

The house and property were just as listed. Everything was clean and the kitchen was very well stocked; there was actually more than we expected. Beds were very comfortable.

Absolutely love this place. It’s our second time our family vacation here. Very clean, cozy and spacious. Even with 5 andults, 2 children, annd our furr baby. Almost felt like home. Look forward to coming back again.

We had a wonderful time! The house was fabulous. Location was nice and quiet but still able to have access to most places on the island via golf cart (beach is within 10 min). We enjoyed coffee on the front porch in the morning and ate dinner as a family in the sun room. Having access to beach equipment was very nice and the bicycles were a lot of fun! The house is well maintained.Pros: location, cleanliness of the house, access to beach equipment and bicycles, the cocoa chai! Washer and dryer, space in the house for 4 people (could easily fit more), ability to find the house upon arrival to the island, guide left by the homeowners with information about the island, and i'm sure there are more that I am missing.Cons: location of the living room TV was awkward
