This Avon home features 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and plenty of space and amenities to make your Outer Banks getaway unforgettable. Sandrose is located just steps away from the beautiful beaches of Hatteras Island along with great local dining, Koru Village Spa, and more. The Avon Fishing Pier is right down the street, giving you access to a close-up view of the fishing action right from the observation deck!
At Sandrose, you'll be welcomed by stunning ocean views and so much more. You'll be able to shower off the salt and sand in the outdoor shower that features hot and cold water. If you caught dinner for the night at the pier, there's even a fish cleaning table and park grill where you can prep your fresh catch! You'll also find a picnic table in a shady spot for your outdoor meal enjoyment. On the lower level, there are two queen bedrooms with TVs and ceiling fans, and an open shared deck. The third bedroom has two twins beds. In the hallway, you will find a full bath with Jacuzzi tub and a laundry closet area. Continue upstairs to the upper level and you enter the spacious great room with vaulted ceiling and ceiling fans. Off the great room, you will also find another full bath. On the beach facing side of the home, you enter into a private sitting area/sun porch for relaxing conversations. The dining table seats eight diners comfortably. From the living/dining area, one may exit onto the screened porch for open air dining, or onto the furnished open deck for catching golden rays of the sun. Continue upward to the crow's nest to spot your incoming ship of gold or a school of playful dolphins or game fish. The entertainment center includes TV (DirecTV), VCR, CD and AM/FM Stereo. Guests staying at Sandrose receive a free unlimited access pass to the Kinnakeet Shores 25m Olympic size swimming pool, kiddie pool, and tennis courts located at the nearby Kinnakeet Shores subdivision. (Pool access is seasonal, Mid May to Mid September, weather pending.)

We had a great time. Avon is a good central location for all the things! Our house was nice, but very dated. I expected the cleanliness of the home to be much much better. We had to clean the bathrooms and wipe down the kitchen counters before using. For the amount of money we paid……I expected more.

Pros:This house is a very close walk to the beach.The house was clean upon arrivalCons:The house needs updating. The dishwasher is rusty and barely works. The deck has rusty nails not level with deck boards and is splinter city. You cannot use the basketball hoop because the entire lawn is covered in cactus and not well maintained. We were constantly stepping on thorns from them. The outdoor furniture on deck is chipping. The couch and furniture were very worn and gross feeling. The couch is piling very bad so it's no comfortable. The beds were not comfortable at all! Most of the kitchen utensils are so old they dont work properly. Rusty handles/door knobs. The entire property needs major upgrading. We have stayed in a dozen rental houses in the OBX. The location is great and close walk to beach by the pier, and the house wasn't dirty upon arrival. But this wouldn't be a repeat visit for us.
