This Colonial Revival home (the Josephine Disosway Duplex) was originally built around 1904 as a hotel/home and converted to its present form around 1920 and then stayed in the Disosway family until the 1970's.

This is our second visit and can’t wait for a third! The location is excellent walking to the river , minutes from downtown which is amazing! The house is roomy and property is quiet and so comfortable to sit on the porch. The host made everything so smooth at check in and sent an email to make sure we didn’t need anything! 10 outta 10 !

I rented both sides of this beautiful duplex for out of town family that was coming in for our daughter’s wedding in downtown NewBern. It is a wonderful house and our family raved about how nice it was and the convenience to downtown shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend this owner and rental. Thank you

This old house is filled with charm! Tall ceilings, wooden floors and vintage furnishings were coupled with beautifully renovated bathrooms. The downsides were creaky and uncomfortable beds and an unusable outside space in the back.
