Out of the ordinary, certainly, and the view being the best part. Houseboat is well built out, with quality components. Very clean and uncluttered, but with all the supplies you might want to have (except for a broom) for a brief stay. Instructions from Harold were clear and comprehensive. The 101 provides traffic noise and late night lights, but the windows are substantial enough to mask off most of that.

The place was nice but maybe hard for Seniors because of the tide and having to change parking lots on high tide days, not mentioned in the ad. Bed was comfortable but the pillows were terrible! The couch and chairs were very uncomfortable as we are Seniors and it was difficult to get out of the low couch.The front door didn’t latch so we had to put the deadbolt on every time we closed the door, the toilet seat was loose. People should be told about the tides before they book so they know they might be waking up to a view of MUD!
