It's a great set-up for families with kids.

Enjoy the rocking chairs on the covered back deck as you look out over a wooded hill with winter views. The covered front porch supplies a picnic table and charcoal grill for outdoor eating.

Spend your afternoons tubing on the Green River, fishing in nearby trout streams, apple-picking in conveniently located orchards, climbing Chimney Rock, exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway, visiting the Biltmore Estate, or enjoying antique-hunting, dining, and music in nearby Asheville and Hendersonville. Our central location puts you within 25 minutes of all these activities.

If you want a real get-away, a place that is not in a busy neighborhood or housing development, our cabin in the woods may be for you. It it laid back and secluded, although still within 15 minutes from all kinds of large grocery stores, big-box stores, and restaurants in Hendersonville.

The final 1.3 miles to the cabin are on a rough dirt road that gets rather steep right before the cabin's driveway. The dirt road portion is about a 5-6 minute drive and do-able in regular cars, except in icy conditions, when it is best to have an SUV or 4-wheel drive. (We regularly drive up in a Toyota Prius or Dodge Mini-Van and have no problems, but we go slowly. It is important to remember that this IS a mountain dirt road!)
