Our cottages are clean and well kept. Situated on 3 acres, surrounded by forever wild state land. We offer free wi-fi, cable, fire pits, and grills. Conveniently located between Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. Come see why our guests return year after year ! Open May - October. Sorry, no pets.
The space:
Cottage #8 was completely remodeled in 2016. It has a queen size bed and dressing chair, cute kitchenette with sink, coffeemaker, microwave, small refrigerator and eating table for two by the window. Please note there is no stove.
We are a family business that takes pride in our property. We keep our cabins CLEAN and well maintained. We live on the property and will be here to answer any questions you may have. We are only 5 minutes in either direction from Lake Placid and Saranac lake. We are right off highway 86 but our property is quiet and peaceful.
Guest access:
We have free Wifi spread throughout the property. Our guests say the speed and signal strength are very good no matter where you stay. There are communal gas grills , Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, fire pits , and horseshoes all free for our guests to use. We sell firewood on the property as well. Parking is plentiful and free. There is a gas station within walking distance that carries groceries, sandwiches, beer, ice , etc.

Moreno's cottages was founded by Tessie and Tony Moreno in1923. Uncle Tony built this property by hand over the years and Aunt Tessie ran the business with discipline and hard work. The Drake family, with 2 parents and 4 teenage children, is the newest owner of this historic vacation destination. Todd & Leigh work constantly to make changes or additions to the property to make our guests' stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.

Nice little cabin with a tiny kitchen and comfortable bed. There were a few minor check in issues but were resolved well after a few phone calls to the host. Water was nice and hot in the shower. Morning coffee is right up the road literally a couple hundred feet. I would say overall I liked it definitely. I would stay again.

Had everything we needed. Comfy bed, hot shower, privacy, a great fire pit and walking distance to a convenience store with hot food. We were on a motorcycle get away and it was perfect.

It is what it looks like. A charming place to stay that is quiet, relaxing, easy to get to, close to town, but far enough away, simple, and although there are several cabins, it is also very private in each one. There is also a gas station/convenience store that is very near by which had quick things we needed and even fresh salads to eat on two occasions. We found being here more relaxing than if we had found a hotel in the area. The process was seamless from booking to check-out. The hosts checked on us to make sure all was well, but were not overbearing. I would highly recommend staying here if you have plans to stay in this area. We stayed here because I competed in Ironman Lake Placid. It was easy to get in and out of town for the various goings-on, so if Ironman Lake Placid is on your calendar, staying here is a solid option.
