Our newly remodeled industrial/ farmhouse style tiny cottage offers a stress free tranquil retreat in the heart of Alden , NY, the original location of the Historic Black Water Baths. Our tiny 256 square ft. cottage is perfect getaway for 2. It's still comfortable for 4 if traveling with small children. The additional space in the lofted area has a full size futon mattress.
Your hosts own a spa and wellness center across the street that allows you to enhance your stay with a variety of unique spa retreat experiences to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, a girls get away, or just a quiet night alone for self care away from your busy life. Indulge yourself in spa services such as Massage, Facials, Body Scrubs & Infared Sauna, all provided by Escential Care Spa & Wellness located directly across the street in a beautiful historical Victorian home setting.
Your hosts are on site to assist you during your stay with any additional amenities or needs you may have. Additional amenities include use of Washer/dryer, and spacious accessible parking.
Our unique town is host to many home-town amenities such as a Park, Walking Trails, Local shops, & Restaurants all in walking distance. Property was really clean over all but dusty in places due to decor in hard to reach places on high shelves. It didnt bother most of our party just one kiddo who is extra sensitive. The bed up top is pretty flat but perfectly doable for kids. There is construction/loud vehicles next door and the sounds can be loud in the house but nothing happened after sundown just day hours. We were pretty tired from our trip and needed to tuck in early so I don't think this would be a problem for most people. It was stated 2x in the email that we could park in the driveway but needed to move across the street after unloading. While unloading host watched and then asked us to move our vehicle before we were done. I explained I read the email and we would in a minute. I believe host lives close and honestly even though we did nothing wrong it felt like we were being watched to make sure we didn't break her rules (we didn’t). You're expected to remove your own trash which again isn't a big ask but also isnt that part of what we pay for? Felt more like host didn't want to be responsible for it.

This was an excellent tiny home in a perfect little walkable town. Very clean, very modern, you can tell a lot of thought went into the design of this tiny space. It’s small but does not feel small at all. Kitchen was stocked with anything you need to cook. Bed was very comfortable and the loft is a great extra space. Highly recommend this home for your stay in Alden.

Perfect accomodations for visiting local family. My school age children are comfortable in the loft. I truly appreciate how clean the cottage is and how well it makes use of the limited space.

Very cozy and clean but needs to be rearranged for space and needs more places to put suitcases and things in bathroom have no room. Mirror isn't over sink and plug for hairdryer is really low. Ladder in middle of the room takes up too much space. Did have alot of ammenities for kitchen if needed.
