While you're in town, make sure to dive a little deeper into the county's history with visits to iconic locations like the Ashe County Cheese Factory and the Museum of Ashe County History, located in the historic 1904 courthouse. Hiking lovers can check out Mount Jefferson State Natural Area and its many different trails that take you on an exploration of the mountain.
- Over in Lansing, you can get to know the locals on a deeper level at places like Molley Chomper Hard Cidery and The Liar's Bench sandwich shop.
