Beautiful, quiet apartment (2) for 2 people, senior-friendly. Open living area with bright, inviting decor. Living room with flat-screen TV (satellite), as well as a cozy TV chair and sofa for relaxing. There is a kitchenette with a dining area, a sleeping area with a double bed, and a separate bathroom with a walk-in shower and toilet.
An electric grill is available upon request, and Wi-Fi is also free of charge.
Private terrace with patio furniture and access to the garden.
A washing machine, dryer, e-bike charging station, and a lockable bike storage room are available for shared use by all guests.
Our house was newly built in 2020 in a former agricultural building and currently offers three ground-floor vacation apartments (43–46 square meters), each with its own entrance and private terrace. The apartments are allergy-friendly, wheelchair-accessible, and equipped with underfloor heating, triple-pane windows, walk-in showers, built-in kitchens, and cozy furnishings.
A washing machine, dryer, e-bike charging station, and a lockable bike storage room are available for shared use by all guests.
“Haus Sonnenhof” is situated in the heart of nature and borders a landscape conservation area. At the end of the access path, you’ll find a large wetland habitat that’s home to spoonbills and great white egrets. Large flocks of gray geese and white-cheeked geese often rest right outside our front door. Deer, pheasants, and hares can be spotted on our property.
The landscape conservation area transitions into the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park. Two dikes separate the biotope from the Dollart, home to its famous “Bohrinsel” observation platform.
The “Sonnenhof” is located on the “Dollart Route” and is therefore a great starting point for biking and hiking tours. From here, it’s about a 7-minute drive to the fishing village of Ditzum, or a 10-minute bike ride.
Here you’ll find peace and relaxation.
Since January 2020, the municipality of Jemgum has been collecting a visitor’s fee (year-round). For more information, visit the Jemgum municipality website or contact your local tourist information office at
