The Riversleigh

This is a big step up from most accommodations. We loved the heritage building, the comfortable room and bed, the large well placed television and the excellent breakfast and the staff to top it off. This was our second stay there and we'll visit again.

We loved everything.

breakfast was good. short walk to some good dining options and the historic part of town.

Had to keep our window curtains closed because anyone sitting in the front alcove could see into our room, hence no garden view. No wardrobe, only a few exposed coathangers to hang your things up.

Position and closeness to town

The hotel while in the boutique style is very dated and could use a revamp. Poor heating in foyer. Bar closed at 7pm not good for the traveller arriving late -ish. While the room was comfortable the aircon set on 20 pumped out hot air most of the night and made for an uncomfortable night. Had an upstairs room with a view as advertised, the road outer the window is the same as very other road . Hotel overrated and not worth the money.
