The Thiérache is a green region with small, romantic French villages. The village of Parfondeval is located on the border of the Champagne Ardennes. Our farm is located in Parfondeval, officially a 'Beau Village', located in the heart of the Thiérache. It is a quiet area in a picturesque landscape. The village of Parfondeval has 175 inhabitants. Our house is on the edge of the village and dominates the hills.
Located at the front of our renovated farmhouse, a gîte (small tourist cottage) welcomes you. It has a private terrace and a large private garden of about 300 m². In addition, it is fully equipped for a peaceful and pleasant stay for 4 people.
Dogs are allowed in the house and garden. However, you are required to walk them outside the property.

There are many fun things to do and do in the area. You can go mountain biking and racing bike in the immediate area. It is a hilly landscape with quiet and challenging routes. The village itself has a restaurant (Le Relais de la Chouette) and a fortified church open to the public. It is possible to walk the "Tour du Parfondeval". This is a walking tour of Parfondeval with audio guidance, where equipment can be picked up at the restaurant. There are many fortified churches in Thiérache and Parfondeval is one of them.
In Hirson you will find a swimming pool with slide and a bowling alley. In Signy-le-Petit you will find a swimming lake with a beach and in Les Mazures a large lake with a water park, a small amusement park (Elfy Park) and a climbing park. For more spectacle you can also go to the Fumay zip line (Terraltitude).
Finally, in Reims, you will find an impressive cathedral where kings were crowned and where the episode with Joan of Arc also took place. In Reims, you can also book a champagne tour and the city has a lively center where you can do many purchases.
