Settled peacefully in the charming coastal village of St Agnes, sits this quintessentially Cornish cottage. Inviting four guests and warmly welcoming your four legged friend, Oriel Cottage is idyllic for a retreat to the coast. With some of Cornwall's very best beaches right on your doorstep and a lovely selection of eateries in thriving St Agnes, this holiday haven has all the ingredients for a perfect getaway.
Step into the delightful cottage, situated up a little lane in the heart of St Agnes, to be welcomed into the open-plan living area. To the left, sits the cosy sitting area, with two characterful chairs and a plush sofa. There's a warming wood burning stove, casting an atmospheric glow throughout the cooler months and a small television with a DVD player. To the right, is the beautifully presented kitchen, offering everything you'll need during your stay. Including a four-ring induction hob, electric oven, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. There is also a lovely dining table with seating for four guests.
Head upstairs to discover the oh so cosy bedrooms. Bedroom one houses a sumptuous double bed, adorned with soft white linens, promising a restful night's sleep. Bedroom two is a lovely twin room, with two comfy single beds. Both bedrooms have white wooden floor boards and plenty of original charm. Nestled between the bedrooms, sits the family bathroom, offering a rejuvenating space to freshen up after a day at the beach. Complete with a shower cubicle, wash basin and WC and heated towel rail.
Outside, just 10 yards away, sits the separate private walled courtyard. An idyllic spot for alfresco dining with outdoor furniture with seating for four guests and a charcoal barbecue for family feasts on summer evenings.If surfing or outdoor sports are your passion, there is a large garage just 200 yards up the lane, a safe place to store bikes, kayaks or surfboards. Although the garage is a short distance away, you can pull up outside the cottage to unload your car before parking it up the lane, in front of the garage.

A travel cot and highchair are available on request.
Please be aware, there is a convenience store close by which receives early morning deliveries which may be heard by light sleepers.

What a beautiful cottage; it has been thoughtfully decorated and it felt so cosy and comfortable. It’s situated perfectly as a base to explore the Cornish coast. Would highly recommend and look forward to coming back.

Lovely clean modern , fresh and tidy cottage well equipped and ideally placed in Saint Agnes . Fabulous location lovely independent shops ,restaurants and pubs .

Nicely refurbished cottage, although very small and may feel rather dark and damp in colder weather.
Had to clean some things on arrival as they'd maybe been missed (kitchen sink covered in tea stains etc, wall tiles covered in food spatters) and back courtyard was rather uninviting - it got very little sunshine during the day so felt cold and damp. It clearly hadn't been cleaned in ages so had to sweep it all and clean all the grime off the table. A small bench at the front of the cottage would be far better as this is a sun trap morning and afternoon.
Nowhere to dry clothes - the courtyard was too damp and no provision made inside the house - no clothes airer. Made things difficult after a day at the beach and wet wetsuits.
Although the location was great in terms of walking distance to all amenities, we were woken up every morning before 5 and 6am by deliveries to the Spar. It was ok, but expensive for what it was and wouldn't stay again.
