The well-furnished apartment “2A Francesca” is situated in Vecindario, in the southeast of Gran Canaria, and is only a short drive from the sea. The 75 m² apartment consists of a living room, a well-equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms (one with 2 single beds) as well as one bathroom and can therefore accommodate 4 people. Additional amenities include Wi-Fi, a washing machine, fans, a television and a baby cot on request. Due to the apartment’s central location in the town, supermarkets, a bus stop, cafés, restaurants and a pharmacy are all within a 5-minute walk (100-500 m) from the apartment. The nearest beach, Playa de Pozo, can be reached after a 10-minute drive (5 km) to Pozo. Other beaches are within 15-20 minutes by car from the apartment, and the popular sandy beach Playa del Inglés, lies a 20-minute drive (20 km) west of Vecindario in the sea resort of Maspalomas. The centre of Gran Canaria offers many great opportunities for hiking and cycling, and the biggest city, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is a 30-minute drive (37 km) north of the apartment. The island’s airport can be reached by car after only 15 minutes (13 km).

We only stayed one night pre-cruise and got a bit of a scare when we arrived. Apparently I was supposed to have let the host know or arrival details so that we are meet at the property. A phone call solved the problem a you can gain entry through a lock box (as well?) This is in more or less a very residential area - no nearby restaurants unless you walk 12 minutes to the Carrefour

Pros: Plenty of space and location. A fantastic place to explore the island from and there was everything we needed such as shops, bars and eateries a short walk away.
Cons: The cherry on the cake would have been outside space (roof terrace) to sit and have a coffee but this did not spoil our stay.
