The Atlantic is the original farmhouse at Quinta do Bom Vento. Now completely renovated with a feature 22 sqm sun room boasting beautiful valley views, it offers a very stylish and spacious base in which to explore the Silver Coast and beyond. Accessed by its own private entrance from the spacious centre courtyard, modern comforts abound within the traditional Portuguese design which was built with metre-thick walls out of local stone. The interior has been gutted and renovated, and you will be relieved to know that the original exterior bathroom and kitchen have now been brought indoors! Although there were originally 2 bedrooms they were small and now we have knocked them in to 1 to provide a lovely Queen size bedroom, with wardrobe and dressing table. In addition the large conservatory has a separate small WC and plenty of space for an additional single bed if required. The main bathroom also has a WC and a walk in custom built shower. The fully fitted kitchen is very comprehensive with full oven and hob, fridge and freezer, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. With an interior of 67 sqm there is also space for a breakfast bar and dining table and you have your own private terrace for outside dining too. This overlooks the garden with your own path to the valley.
Quinta do Bom Vento has 4 other rental conversions, but all have their own private entrances and outdoor terraces. There is a central courtyard should you want to socialise or rent with friends whilst still preserving your own private space. You are free to walk in the 4 acre wooded valley or meander off on the paths beyond.
A car is essential but at only 7km from Obidos and Buddha Eden we feel QBV is in the ideal position to provide a peaceful and very comfortable base. We designed the quintinhas as homes as opposed to rentals and we believe the quality of furnishings, linens and towels reflect that. Knowing how frustrating it can be renting rural properties and arriving to an empty fridge and cupboards, we provide an extensive starter pack including milk, butter, cold meats, cheese, bread, fruit, tea, coffee, wine and beer along with essentials such as washing up liquid, paper towels, oils and vinegars. etc. Recognising the ever restrictive luggage allowances on flights we also provide toiletries and beach towels.
