Responsive host, great amenities, and a stay that met all our needs! We had a wonderful stay and the home completely met our needs. The host went above and beyond before we even arrived as there was a water main break the day before our trip, and they proactively had plenty of bottled water delivered and waiting for us so we could easily make coffee, drink, and brush our teeth. The kitchen was well-stocked and the grill worked great. The king bed was incredibly comfortable. While the home relies on bedroom window AC units rather than central air, they kept things nice and cool, and we lucked out with perfect mid-70s weather during our visit. The host did say central AC is planned for 2027.A few helpful notes on layout and amenities for future guests:Water Access: While you are close to the water, the direct end of the street is private property. You'll need to walk a few blocks down South Turkeyfoot Road to be at the water.Layout & Tech: The main bathroom in the king bedroom doesn't have a separate door for the toilet area, so you do have to close the main bedroom door for privacy. The second bedroom layout could benefit from a little rearranging, and a wall-mounted TV there would be a great upgrade.Amenities: There is no washer/dryer on-site, which is just a helpful detail to keep in mind when packing.Overall, it was a highly successful trip with a great, attentive host, and the house did exactly what we needed. We would definitely stay again.
