Lace up your hiking boots and set out on the exciting hike along the Gendarmen Trail from Padborg to Høruphav on Als. The trail, which is 84 km long in total, runs along the Bay of Flensburg and is considered Denmark’s most beautiful long-distance hiking trail. Gråsten Castle: The summer residence of the Danish royal family is definitely worth a visit. When the royal family isn’t staying at the castle, the castle gardens are open to the public. You can stroll through the charming gardens, enjoy the view of the sea, and see the castle up close. From here, you can also easily take a trip to Ærø and Funen.
