We booked Gooseberry Lodge last minute for our family of 5. The cabin was perfectly sized for two adults and three children. We spent most of our time on the expansive dock and enjoyed dinner sunsets from the back deck. The mooring buoy made it easy to stop back at the house for lunch while out tubing on the lake. Proximity to town and to the highway made day trips super easy - especially with three kids in tow. Communication with the owners was seamless and timely. We really appreciated the recommendations as it was our first time to Burt Lake.

We enjoyed our time at the cottage! It's an excellent location with easy access to a lot of attractions. Our family of 5 was comfortable and with the weather while we were there, the lack of air conditioning was not an issue. During the week, the lake was very quiet. Other reviews noted the rooster next door, who let his presence be known, but he didn't wake us up early. Kitchen utensils were a bit limited but we found what we needed to get by. Communication with the host was excellent. Overall, it was a terrific stay!
