The property is located in a gated community on the western side of Oahu (Cottages at Mauna Olu), with 24 hours security. The community has parks, and a swimming pool and is close to the golf course.
There is plenty to do in this sunny town, all within 10 mins drive, including swimming, snorkeling, diving, hiking, and so much more. Depending on the seasons, you could catch sightings of whales, dolphins, and turtles in the ocean.
Waianae is 40 minutes from the airport (HNL), 45 minutes from the heart of Waikiki, and an hour from the North Shore. It’s the perfect place to relax after a day of exploration.
QUIET TIME:
This is in a gated residential community, please be respectful of our neighbors, no parties, no events, or large gatherings.
HOA requires quiet hours 9:00 pm - 8:00 am.

The property is great. The price is reflective of Hawaii during peak season. It wasn't immediately clear that we were booking two separate houses in one neighborhood, but we figured it out, and it worked out quite well for our large multi family group. It's in a very quiet corner of the island away from Honolulu and all the tourist attractions, with access to some very good beaches without the crowds.

Great houses in a great location. We used the pool and the gym while there and were not disappointed. It is a little bit of a drive(10 min) to get to any shops or restaurants, but the beauty and safety of the gated community wins. The only downside was of the 3 rooms upstairs, 2 had dressers in them but the one I had did not. It was inconvenient to have to keep all of my stuff in my suitcase for the week, but I made it work. The houses were clean and spacious. They had great outdoor space.

Beautiful houses and beautiful views of mountains and the ocean. It is two separate houses a short walk apart in a new development up in a scenic valley. Very quiet area.

My large family very much enjoyed our stay. But we were extremely disappointed by one factor. The VRBO listing was unclear. The listing said we were renting a home with eight bedrooms and six bathrooms. It turns out that we were actually renting two separate homes that were about 300 yards apart. Upon reading the fine print, it turns out that this detail is disclosed. But it was not clear at all. Most renters assume that they are renting one single home. If we are actually renting two separate homes, this fact should be made very prominent. Our communication with the owner was fine, but this was an incredible disappointment to my family who traveled very far too, be together in one house.
