The Marine Drive stretches for over 3 miles along the seafront. This is also part of the Cleveland Way walk that carries on down the coast finishing in Filey. Scarborough boasts two very famous theatres: The Stephen Joseph Theatre, which is home to most of Alan Ayckbourn’s premiéres, and the open air theatre, which is one of the largest open air theatres in Europe. The Haven is a great base to visit the East Coast with Robin Hood’s Bay and Whitby to the north and Filey and Flamborough Head to the south. The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is just a short drive away where you can watch the puffins perched on the cliffs.

The medieval city of York is just an hour’s drive away or you can catch the direct train from Scarborough.
