Come visit beautiful, family-friendly Hawks Nest Beach, where you will find a fresh & clean, charming Beach Bungalow that is sure to please! Located on the most popular dead-end street at the beach with a partial ocean view, our 1940s bungalow-style cottage is full of Hawks Nest Beach history and has been transformed into a beachy oasis. The location cannot be beat, as you are close to tennis courts, ice cream, the candy store, crabbing on the jetty, and more...the beach is within walking distance. The Beach Bungalow is only a hop, skip, and a jump away from the famous Old Lyme Carousel and ice cream shop, not to mention close to Mystic, Foxwoods & Mohegan Casinos.
Please note before you book that you must bring your own linens, towels, pillows, and toiletries. Most of the Beach properties at Hawks Nest do not provide these. This allows us to keep our prices very reasonable, so close to the ocean.
Step into a bright, open, and airy space! There is a dining table that sits 6 comfortably. The kitchen area offers everything you will need for dining and cooking while staying with us and comes complete with a coffee maker and microwave. The Beach Bungalow offers everything you will need for dining and cooking while staying with us!
Our home will comfortably sleep 4-5 guests, offering 3 bedrooms. Two of the vaulted ceiling bedrooms each have a queen-size bed, and the third bedroom has child-size twin bunk beds. Bedrooms are decorated with beautiful, vintage-inspired coastal furnishings that will provide a very restful stay. The cottage has 1 full bathroom with a full-size tub and an outdoor shower.
Last but certainly not least, chill out on our screened-in front porch with comfortable seating, dining area, evening string lights, partial ocean views, and cool breezes. When you come in from the sun & sand, rinse off in our hot/cold outdoor shower! There is parking available for 2 vehicles and Wi-Fi.
At the end of your stay, we have a small tidy-up checklist, but after checkout, we have a cleaning service come in to clean. Sorry, but we do not allow smoking of any kind in our home or on the premises. Please note that we do have motion-detected security cameras on the property. One on the front porch that observes the front entrance, one in the parking area, and one at the back entrance.

This beach house is absolutely perfect! So adorable and clean! It was right across from the beach with a quaint back yard and partial ocean views from the front. The rooms were so cute and the beds were very comfortable. The kids loved the bunk beds. This home was very reasonably priced and managed very well by Kristine. Kristine is very hospitable, very sweet and also responds quickly. Fantastic experience. We will definitely come back again. If you are looking for a beach house, stop looking and book this one!! Thank you Kristine for sharing your adorable beach home with us!!

Communication with the host was excellent. The cottage was cozy and so close to the beach. The walk to the beach was a little more than expected, as I assumed it was right across the street, but other than that, we had wonderful weather, and was able to bring my dog, so what could be better?

Awesome stay and perfect location for our off season weekend exploring Mystic aquarium and Essex steam trains. Hosts were very easy to reach and helpful. Across from beach, but you can’t actually access until you get to public beach .5 miles away, which was fine but unexpected. Also a couple amenities weren’t perfect, but totally would not affect my decision to rent here again. Very clean and updated! Loved it!

Cute home….however I would not have rented it had I known I had to bring my own sheets and towels. Not something I want to do when staying in a home for one night on my way to Maine. You should put that out there for people to see before selecting this home.
