Our family owned and managed, pet friendly home is modern and tastefully yet comfortably furnished, stocked with the vacationer in mind. The home is just a short block from the beach, right across the street from the park & a short walk to nightlife, the arcade and a small market! Just a few miles from Surf City town center with tons of restaurants, activities, and the pier.

Had a great week with family. It was our first time at Surf City. The house was beautiful, in a great location, clean, well stocked kitchen and the music from the local bar down the street was nice to hear as we sat on the front porch or under the house at the grill area and swing. Amy was a gracious host and communicated great. Even left a nice gift on arrival. The local park across the street was a hit with my grandkids! Would definitely recommend Sweet Tea by the Sea.

I’ve never rented a place and it be exactly as described …until now! Wow what a wonderful house & location. Communication with Amy before, during, and after was beyond expectation. We didn’t need anything except food and the location to grocery and other great shops & restaurants were within 5 miles. The house was so clean and comfy- we will be back next year! There is a Trailer Bar a few lots down towards the beach, but it was not disturbing at all, in fact we enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to live music a few nights. The music always stopped by 11, so that did not disturb any sleep. We also walked a block over to enjoy Hot Mess Studios- ceramics/pottery creations. We had a blast! Thank you Amy & Bruce for a wonderful rental experience!! We will be back next year!!

Pro: The house location was great for beach access especially for kids because there’s a playground on the way to the beach. The spacious living room and kitchen was nice for large family. And plenty of beds.
Con: The house wasn’t very clean; showers and floors were dirty upon arrival. Dog hairs and sand on the bed that wasn’t ours that we noticed when we were checking out and had to strip the beds. There were a few too many unwanted critters in the house (mainly kitchen). The beds and pillows were uncomfortable.
